how to get to krka waterfalls
The Krka National Park encompasses an area of 109 square kilometres along the Krka River. Krka is most famous for its seven travertine waterfalls, which drop for over 240 metres and are roaring cascades in the winter but diminish during the summer.
Excursions include boat trips to the waterfall at Skradinski Buk and walks along the footpaths and bridges parallel to the cascades. The picturesque old town of Skradin is worth a visit, and there are boat trips up the Krka River to Visovac and its historic Franciscan monastery.
We recommend Škver Tours as our local operator for guests wanting to make a day trip to Krka. They have regular minibus excursions, between Biograd and the town of Skradin, from where you can hop on a boat up the Krka river to the waterfalls, as well as Visovac.
